The most extreme life forms in the universe – “The very existence of these hardy organisms hints that life might be able to eke out an existence in the cold, dry climate of Mars, the icy, acidic conditions of Jupiter’s moon Europa, or in countless other spots beyond our solar system…”>

“It’s called epMotion…” – Music video of a nerdy boys’ band advertising lab equipment. Giggleworthy.
LISTENING
Regina Spektor - Begin to Hope (album). I don't tire of it yet.
Architecture in Helsinki makes me unconceivably happy.
Autumn Leaves, Miles Davis and Cannonball Adderley: toujours le même frisson.
READING
Villette, by Charlotte Brontë. I actually finished that one a few days ago. I don’t even remember when I ever started it. Six, eight years ago?! At long last. It’s a good thing it took so long, because this writing is in so short supply. Here’s some prose so dense and richly laden, it is best kept for those dispositions when as much as possible will be perceived, wrung out, seeped in.
The Falls, by Joyce Carol Oates. A big part of the pull for me was the Cinderella-like storyline; it’s severely slowed down for me since “Prince Charming” died, but I think I’m close to finish it. It should happen this year!
